Men and Women Will Not Just Talk

There is a tendency that men talk more in public areas than in their homes. Many women interviewed after divorces cite communication with their partners as the leading cause. While many women want their husbands to be the first and foremost conversation partners, many husbands are or seem uninterested. While studying these problems, researchers have attributed these problems to children development processes. They have come into a conclusion that social structure and peer interactions influence child development.
Boys and girls tend to play with people of their genders. The two genders have different organization and norms. These differences make communication appear cross-cultural. To women, intimacy is the fabric of relationship. Women regard conversation as the cornerstone of their friendship while bond on men is based on less talking and more doing. They do not assume talk as the cement of a relationship, they simply do not know what kind of talk women want and they do not miss it even when it is not there.

Men groups are larger and thus men always avoid insubordination. That's why some men do not really want to listen because doing so makes them feel down. While women talk while facing each other, men communicate freely facing any direction. This becomes a problem when a man and a woman are communicating, because while a man might be listening to the conversation, if not looking at her, the woman assumes the man is not listening.

Another problem is that women hold conversations on a subject for a long while men jump from one topic to the other. Tendency to switch topics makes women feel like men are not interested. Women like emotive responses, staring direct in their eyes while men prefer writing off issues. These differences as explained in the article clarify why men and women have different expectations about communication and thus the need to learn and understand the communication needs of your partner to avoid always being in conflict.

To solve the problems of communication, women and men should take time to understand each other, know how the other partner prefers being talked to and communicate with each other the need to change any form of behavior which makes one partner appear as if not interested. This will play a great role in ensuring cases of misunderstandings are minimized and thus reducing chaos and conflicts in a relationship. This said and done, the chances of a relationship being successful are very high and people can live comfortably without having to fight over small issues.
